Wuhan Pier Culture Center is a civic landmark at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the city’s historic docklands. Inspired by Yin and Yang, two fluid volumes interweave land and water, stillness and motion. A calligraphic metal roof shelters cultural and community spaces, while terraced walkways connect the architecture to the riverfront. Rooted in the site’s trading port history, the project reimagines the pier as a space of convergence and continuity, supported by sustainable design strategies.
