For millennia, Qu Yuan's spirit has been extolled, yet interpretations of it vary greatly.
To me, Qu Yuan's spirit transcends mere patriotism; it embodies his unwavering resilience amid a tumultuous era and his commitment to aesthetic ideals during dark times. His historical backdrop resonates with the anxieties of our modern post-industrial world.

In my quest to 'let the voice of ideals penetrate the dark reality and resonate within the spiritual realm,' I have reimagined the Qu Yuan Memorial Hall, creating an immersive experience tailored to the sensibilities of contemporary individuals.Given Qu Yuan's profound connection to East Lake in Wuhan, the project is situated at the site of the existing Qu Yuan Memorial Hall for a comprehensive renovation.

Throughout the entire structure, Qu Yuan's masterpiece 'Soul Recruitment' serves as a thematic thread. Its purpose extends beyond the hope of Qu Yuan's patriotic spirit returning to China; it strives to provoke profound introspection, rekindling the essence of pure, independent thought that we may have lost.
