Qing Duan is a London-based spatial designer and interior architectworking across space, installation, and visual narrative.Her practice investigates how spatial design can bridge scales,stories, and systems— from the collective conditions of humanlife to the intimate connections between psychological andphysical space.
With a focus on reusing and reinterpreting existing structures,Qing often engages with overlooked corners, thresholds, andsoft enclosures. Her projects combine material experimentationwith quiet observation, creating environments that are intimate,lay ered, and responsive.
She holds a Master's degree from the Royal College of Art andcontinues to explore how spatial storytelling can offer alternativeways of inhabiting the world.

This competition sought designs for a small structure that could be embedded within existing public spaces in multiple locations around the world. The reading rooms are to function as an intimate meditative space in which people can read and exchange books. The structure itself is to be highly versatile so that it could be located in various locations, and could function in various climates and seasons.
College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition
First Prize
'Polymerization'won the first prize in the preliminary round and the second prize in the final round because of its spatial flexibility, extensibility and environmental friendliness.
The work develops a module that can be adapted to the private and public spaces needed by different groups of people.
